2025 Charter Review
Barnstable County Charter Review – 2025
Every five years, Barnstable County undertakes a Charter Review process as mandated by the County’s Home Rule Charter. This periodic review provides an opportunity to evaluate the structure and function of County government to ensure it remains transparent, responsive, and effective for the people of Cape Cod.
The Assembly of Delegates is responsible for initiating this process and has established the Charter Review Committee to review the Charter and recommend potential updates. Community engagement is a key part of the review, and public input is encouraged throughout.
Stay informed by following updates, reviewing meeting materials, and watching recorded sessions as the process unfolds.
