Watch the video update narrated by Ken Cirillo, County Dredge Director.

The Cod Fish II and the push boat Sandman arrived in Sesuit Harbor, Dennis on Sunday morning January 18th from Truro where it just completed a six-week project in Pamet Harbor.

The annual dredging of the Sesuit Harbor Approach & Entrance Channels has a target volume is 6,500 Cubic Yards of sand to remove heavy shoaling in three areas in the channel.

Winds, seas and cold temps always seem to delay this project which has to be completed by January 30th before the Winter Flounder Time Of Year (TOY) restriction starts.

Like most projects that the County dredge completes, the primary benefit of the dredging is clearing the navigational channel of shoaling with the secondary benefit being the rebuilding and renourish of the shoreline and beaches.
