Warming Centers and Shelters — Barnstable County
This is the information we have so far on warming centers and shelters across Barnstable County. We will continue to update as additional locations open.
Warming stations in Provincetown and Mashpee have now been upgraded to 24-hour shelters.
Hours listed reflect current availability. Hours and locations will continue to be refreshed and updated throughout the day as we receive confirmed information from towns.
Warming Center vs. Shelter — What’s the Difference?
Warming Center:
A temporary location open for limited hours where residents can get warm, charge devices, and access basic support. Warming centers are not overnight facilities and may offer limited services.
Shelter:
A location where residents can stay for extended periods or overnight if their home is unsafe due to no heat, medical needs, or other hazardous conditions.
If you do not have heat, have medical needs requiring electricity, or feel your home is unsafe, please consider relocating to a shelter.
We will continue sharing updates throughout the day.
