Training in Action: Mashpee Fire Practices Roof Operations
Published on: May 21, 2025
Last week, Mashpee Firefighters took advantage of the County’s roof prop to sharpen their roof ventilation skills, cutting holes as if smoke and fire were just beneath them. They also put their new ladder truck to good use, practicing maneuvers from the end of the aerial device.
As a department of Barnstable County, the Cape Cod Center for Public Safety Training supports municipal fire departments across the Cape with specialized on-the-job training and resources, all in line with current industry standards and best practices. This hands-on approach helps ensure our local crews are ready for real-world emergencies.
