Barnstable County, Mass Maritime Academy, and Air Force Emergency Management Host Presentation by Boston Marathon Bombing Leadership

Last week, the Barnstable County Incident Management Team, in cooperation with Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Air Force Emergency Management hosted retired Boston Police Chief Dan Linskey for his presentation “Leading Before, During, and After the Crisis”.

Daniel Linskey is a 27-year veteran of Boston Police Department (BPD). While serving as Superintendent-in-Chief of the force, Dan provided strong leadership through some of the most tragic and contentious events in the city’s history, including the Boston Marathon bombings and the Occupy Movement. His presentation, Leading Before During and After the Crisis: A Case Study of the Boston Marathon Bombing Attack, utilized lessons learned from the Boston Marathon bombing investigation to teach our local agencies (including public officials and emergency responders) how to respond in a crisis and face unthinkable challenges.
