Barnstable County Dredge Seeks Maintenance Technician
Barnstable County is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the County Dredge team.
⚓The Barnstable County Dredge plays a crucial role in maintaining the navigability of channels across Cape Cod, serving every town except Brewster. About 90% of our work focuses on clearing sand from channels and relocating it to public beaches, ensuring safe passage for boats and enhancing local shoreline. Additionally, we perform nitrogen flushing in select harbors, improving water quality and benefiting the local ecosystem.
⚓As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance on our equipment, scheduling necessary repairs, and, when needed, assisting on the dredge when issues arise.
