AmeriCorps Cape Cod is Accepting Applications for Year 25
March 3, 2023 (Barnstable, MA) – Barnstable County’s AmeriCorps Cape Cod program is actively recruiting for AmeriCorps member positions to support its historic 25th year of service on Cape Cod.
AmeriCorps Cape Cod recruits 24 individuals to address Cape Cod’s critical environmental and disaster response needs through a dedication to community service and local collaboration.
AmeriCorps Cape Cod members enrolled in our program will:
- Receive dedicated program housing during their term of service,
- Conduct meaningful service activities that benefit the Cape Cod community,
- Receive experience in various sectors of the environmental and disaster preparedness fields,
- Gain valuable skills through training and hands-on service experiences,
- Foster professional development through networking with local experts and gaining credentials through certificate-based training,
- And build individual and team-based leadership skills.
Other benefits include a living allowance, an option for healthcare benefits, and a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $6,895 from the National Service Trust upon successful and satisfactory completion of the program.

Since 1999, the program has provided over 980,000 hours of service to Barnstable County with an estimated value totaling $25, 847,855. The program is funded by Barnstable County and through a grant provided by AmeriCorps the Agency. Housing for Corps members and live-in program staff is provided by Barnstable County, the Cape Cod National Seashore, the Town of Barnstable, and Chatham Conservation Foundation, Inc.
