Due to extremely high demand, all Open Enrollment appointments at the Barnstable County SHINE Program are now full for the remainder of the season. We understand how important this time of year is and truly appreciate your patience.
If you were unable to secure an appointment, there are several ways you can still get help:
• 1‑800‑MEDICARE (1‑800‑633‑4227) is available 24/7 and can assist with plan comparisons, enrollment changes, and general Medicare questions.
• You can access our list of in-person presentations, upcoming webinars, and newly developed self‑help tools on our website to support you in reviewing your Medicare options.
- OEP Checklist: Helps beneficiaries determine how they would like to review their Medicare coverage for Open Enrollment.
- Open Enrollment Worksheet: Prepares beneficiaries to discuss their options when contacting 1-800-MEDICARE.
- Medicare Plan Finder Overview: Guides beneficiaries through using the Medicare.gov Plan Finder and completing a plan search.
These resources are designed to help beneficiaries who feel comfortable navigating the simpler parts of the process independently.
