Barnstable County 4-H Advisory Council Scholarships Now Open for Cape Cod Youth
Applications Due April 17, 2026
The Barnstable County 4-H Advisory Council is now accepting applications for 2026 4-H Advisory Council Scholarships. These scholarships support Cape Cod youth who plan to continue their education beyond high school.
Each year, the Council awards scholarships to eligible current and former Barnstable County 4-H members. While scholarship amounts vary, every award helps local youth take the next step toward college, technical school, or another accredited post-secondary program.
Who Can Apply
To apply, youth must meet the following requirements:
- First, applicants must be current or former Barnstable County 4-H members
- In addition, applicants must have participated in 4-H for at least two years
- They must live in Barnstable County on Cape Cod
- Finally, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program
The Council reviews applications using clear criteria. Specifically, reviewers look at:
- Leadership skills
- Community service involvement
- Depth of 4-H experience
- Overall contribution to the 4-H program
What to Include in Your Application
To be considered, applicants must submit all required materials by the deadline.
These materials include:
- A completed scholarship application
- A one-page scholarship request letter
- Documentation of 4-H participation, such as a 4-H record or summary
- An official high school transcript
- However, repeat applicants must submit a current invoice from their school instead
Because incomplete applications cannot be reviewed, applicants should double-check materials before submitting.
