Winter Storm Update | 9:00 AM | January 26, 2026

The heaviest snowfall across Cape Cod has ended. The region will see lingering light snow through the remainder of Monday, with minor additional accumulation possible into early Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Observed snowfall totals through 1:00 AM Monday have been confirmed, with light additional snow forecast between 1:00 AM Monday and 1:00 AM Tuesday as the storm system continues to wind down.
⚠️ Travel may remain challenging in some areas today. Residents are encouraged to limit travel where possible to allow DPW and utility crews to safely continue snow removal and restoration work, and to check local weather and road conditions before heading out.
Minor power outages are being addressed, with utility crews responding, and most Cape Cod towns are not reporting major issues at this time.
The Barnstable County Multi-Agency Coordination Center (MACC) will conclude in-person operations at 9:00 AM and remain available virtually should any significant needs arise.
Thank you to DPW crews, utility workers, and regional partners who continue response and recovery efforts today.
