County Dredge Cod Fish II Arrives in Pamet Harbor Ahead of Channel Project
Published on: November 21, 2025
The Barnstable County Dredge Cod Fish II has arrived in Pamet Harbor, Truro, in advance of the upcoming dredging of the harbor channel — a priority project for the town.
The trip began Wednesday morning as the Cod Fish II departed the Popponesset Approach Channel dredging project and traveled to Monument Beach in Bourne. On Thursday, the dredge continued through the Cape Cod Canal, exited the east end, and proceeded to Pamet Harbor — a roughly 25-mile open water trip at about five knots.
The pre-dredge survey was completed upon arrival, and mobilization is now underway. Dredging of the Pamet Harbor channel is scheduled to begin the week of December 1.
