State Leaders Issue Joint Statement on Cape Cod Bridges on October 17

Last week, Governor Maura Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Ed Markey, and Congressman Bill Keating issued a joint statement following reports that the Trump Administration is pausing $11 billion in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects, including those related to the Cape Cod Bridges.
The statement reaffirmed the Commonwealth’s and the Massachusetts Congressional delegation’s continued commitment to rebuilding the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges, which serve as the only vehicular access points to and from Cape Cod.
Barnstable County is sharing this update to help inform residents and visitors about ongoing efforts to ensure safe, reliable transportation infrastructure for the region.
