Mashpee Shares Updates on Regional Housing Efforts
At its June 9 meeting, the Mashpee Select Board received updates from Town Planner Brian Tobin on two important housing initiatives: the Barnstable County Shared Regional Housing Services Program and the town’s revised Housing Production Plan (HPP).
Tobin emphasized the value of the regional program, which brings together housing officials from across Cape Cod to collaborate on affordable housing challenges. Funded initially through ARPA, Mashpee is now seeking Community Preservation Committee support to continue participating beyond June 30.
The Select Board is expected to vote on the plan later this month. If approved, it will be submitted to the state by June 30.
