Digital Equity Working Session for Cape Cod

Funding is available to support activities that better connect community members across Cape Cod to the internet and devices through the Massachusetts Broadband Institute!
The ability to engage in the digital world varies across the Cape’s communities and inequities in access to the internet and technology inhibit many from meeting their civic, social, health, and employment needs.
Fortunately, the Cape is home to many community organizations, municipalities, companies, and advocates who are committed to addressing the digital divide. And, the Massachusetts Broadband Institute is currently offering funding opportunities to support this work.
Join the Cape Cod Commission, Cape Cod Technology Council, and Healthy Aging Cape Cod for a collaborative working session on March 28th from 1:00 to 2:45 PM via Zoom to learn how to develop grant applications and programs.
Funding opportunities include:
Launchpad Grants: a newly released grant program available to community organizations and municipalities supporting covered populations. Find out more information about the program by reviewing the project page and webinar.
Municipal Digital Equity Implementation Grants: available to municipalities with a completed Municipal Digital Equity Plan and all other Cape Cod communities under the Barnstable County Broadband Needs Assessment.
Eligible activities include: internet skills and safety courses, public Wi-Fi availability, digital navigation and one-to-one support, coalition building, device distribution, and more!
This session will support the development of grant applications and collaborative programs that address our region’s greatest digital inequities.
