Winter Storm Expected Saturday Night into Sunday

An approaching winter storm has the potential to bring 6+ inches of snowfall to Cape Cod, with lower totals anticipated for the Islands. Here’s what we know so far:
- A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for all of Southern New England except for the islands.
- Heaviest snow is expected Saturday night starting around 8pm, tapering off Sunday morning.
- Marine hazards include rough seas with winds at 30–40 kts. Wind and wave conditions will be hazardous for small crafts and inexperienced mariners.
- While a wind advisory has not been issued for Cape Cod, gusty winds are expected on Friday ahead of the storm.
