The Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center (MASSTC), a division of the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment, continues to lead in wastewater innovation. With over 4,000 Innovative/Alternative septic systems tracked across Barnstable County, they’re setting the standard for nitrogen reduction.

  • Meet Alexandra Nicolosi, their newest team member, whose expertise is helping advance MASSTC’s mission to improve water quality and ecological health.
  • MASSTC was also featured in Circuit Films’ Great Ponds series and concluded a successful Waste No Water Library Tour, engaging hundreds in wastewater education.

Big things are ahead for 2025, including the launch of a Clean Water Center!
