SALES VOLUME & VALUE REMAIN STRONG!
Barnstable County Register of Deeds, John F. Meade, reports that the volume of real estate sales in November 2024 was up 4% from November 2023 volume and the total value of sales was up 15.6% from the previous year. The median individual property sale value was up 5.7% from the previous year. There was a 9.6% increase in the volume of mortgage activity from November 2023 levels.
Year to Date: Volume of Sales is up 1%; Total Value of Sales is up 9.1%; Individual Sales Value is up 4.1%; Mortgage Volume is down 0.2%.
Register Meade reports that there were 469 deeds recorded at the Barnstable Registry of Deeds in November 2024 with stated sales values above $50,000.00 representing a stated value of $429,056,462.00 in county-wide real estate sales. Based on all property sales valued above $50,000.00, the median sale price of property in Barnstable County in November 2024 was $665,800.00.
There were 671 mortgages recorded with values above $50,000.00 in November 2024 with a total value of $467,341,632.00. The median mortgage amount, commercial, residential or other, was $408,000.00.
By way of comparison, there were 451 deeds recorded at the Barnstable Registry of Deeds in November 2023 with stated sales values above $50,000.00 representing a stated value of $371,192,530.00 in county-wide real estate sales. Based on all property sales valued above $50,000.00, the median sale price of property in Barnstable County in November 2023 was $630,000.00.
There were 612 mortgages recorded with values above $50,000.00 in November 2023 with a total value of $308,342,441.00. The median mortgage amount, commercial, residential or other, was $350,000.00.
