Information for Human Rights Day Video Submissions
The Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission (BCHRAC) is excited to announce the launch of a social media campaign celebrating human rights achievements across the County. The campaign will debut on December 10th, International Human Rights Day.
In celebration of Human Rights Day on December 10th, the Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission (BCHRAC) will recognize this year’s theme, by launching a social media campaign focused on our community. The objective of the social media campaign is to highlight the good work being done by organizations across the County to reduce inequalities and to hear stories from individuals who have worked to address inequalities or have been supported by others doing so.
We are collecting short videos from community members and organizations within Barnstable County to learn about what human rights means to you and how you advance equality. The videos will be shared on BCHRAC social media and our website.
Help us start the new year with positivity and increased awareness of human rights at the local level by highlighting the
incredible work already being done on Cape Cod. Instructions for video submissions are included below:
Submit your video in celebration of 2024 Human Rights Day!
- Answer one or more of the following questions in your video:
- Who are you (or what is your organization)?
- What does human rights mean to me?
- How do I work to protect human rights? and/or
- How does my organization work to protect human rights?
- How can people support this good work?
- Film the video on your phone or any device you have accessible
- Position the device in a landscape position
- Choose a location with a neutral background and minimal background noise
- Video duration should not exceed 45 seconds
- To submit, email your video with your name and organization (if applicable) to allison.carter@capecod.gov by December 23, 2024
