Public Review Notice: Transportation Improvement Program

Notice of Public Review and Comment Period FFY 2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendment 2

For Immediate Release (November 18, 2024) – During a meeting held on November 18, 2024, the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) released the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2025-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendment 2 for a 21-day public review and comment period. A copy of the document may be downloaded at www.capecodcommission.org/mpo.  

Amendment 2 proposes the following modifications: 

  • Bourne Scenic Highway Median Installation on Route 6 (#606082)

Funding source adjustment to include $4,604,167 of Congestion, Mitigation, Air Quality (CMAQ) funding added in FFY 2026  

  • Cape Cod Gateway Airport Microgrid Project

$1,950,000 to be programmed in FFY 2025 utilizing Federal Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) grant funds 

  • Cape Cod Bridges Program Phase 1 (Sagamore Bridge)

$365,420,000 to be programmed in FFY 2025-2029 utilizing Federal Bridge Investment Program (BIP) grant funds with a state match. 

A virtual public meeting of the Cape Cod MPO is scheduled for Monday, December 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM to hear public comments and vote on potential endorsement of Amendment 2. More information on this meeting can be found at www.capecodcommission.org/mpo or by calling 508-362-3828.  

The FFY 2025-2029 serves as a prioritized listing of roadway, bridge, and transit projects proposed for implementation during the next five (5) federal fiscal years.
