Registration Open for Lower Cape Cod Children’s Garden

A free program offered by the Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod for children 8-12 years old.

March 12 , 2024 (Barnstable, MA) – The Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod (MGACC) is excited to announce the launch of the Lower Cape Children’s Garden program at the Brewster Community Garden. Designed for children ages 8 through 12, this program offers an enriching opportunity for youngsters to explore the world of gardening under the guidance of certified Master Gardeners.

Participants will engage in hands-on activities to learn gardening basics, from planting seeds to nurturing plants and understanding the importance of environmental stewardship. The program will take place weekly from May through August, with sessions running from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each Tuesday or Thursday. With limited space available, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested families are encouraged to apply early.

The program is split into two groups, with one group meeting on Tuesdays and the other on Thursdays.

Cost: Registration is free.
