Attend the Food Waste Diversion Forum on Tuesday, March 5th

We are so excited to invite you to our Food Waste Diversion Forum on Tuesday, March 5th from 9am – 12pm (with option networking time from 12pm – 12:30pm). All are welcome and will learn a lot, but Farmers, Aquaculturists, Food Producers– this is especially for you! This FREE event will take place at the Cape & Islands Association of Realtors Conference Center located at 22 Mid-Tech Dr. in West Yarmouth.

Sign in and morning refreshments including coffee, tea, and snacks will be from 8:30am – 9am. We’ll also have community partners with information tables. Stay for our optional networking time at the end of the forum and to exchange information and ask more in-depth questions.

Topics will include:

  • The new MA Commercial Food Materials Disposal Ban, also know as the Food Waste Ban
  • Resources on reusable packaging
  • Food waste for livestock feed
  • Composting (including larger scale composting and regulations)
  • Donating excess food for human consumption, gleaning (including paid, fair market price donation opportunities)
