The Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod invites you to their Autumn Joy Fall Symposium on September 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Harwich Community Center.

Our Keynote Presenter, garden teacher and author, Jana Milbocker will kick off the morning session with a presentation about “The Magic of the Winter Garden”. She will provide inspiration and tips for designing a garden for winter interest, choosing the best trees, shrubs, and perennials, and grouping them to create arresting vignettes. Jana is the principle at “Enchanted Gardens,” providing landscaping services, lectures, and garden tours. She trained as a graphic designer at Syracuse University, holds an MBA from Boston College, has further studied horticulture and landscape design. Her “Garden Tourist” books will be available for purchase and signing.

Additionally, you may choose two of the following breakout sessions:

Plant On: Seed Saving – Carolyn Brzezinski, Master Gardener
Boomer Gardening: Gardening as we Age – Priscilla Husband, Garden Coach
Orchids 101 – Yasmine McNellis, Master Gardener
Small Space Vegetable Gardening – Jim Michaels, Master Gardener

Participants may bring a soil sample (at least 1 cup of dry soil) for free pH testing. Each participant will receive a gift bag and have a chance to win a door prize donated by local merchants.
