Potential Disruption in Local Access to Medication for Opioid Use Disorder
Published on: March 8, 2023
Due to the recent closing of the Recovery Connections Centers of America which includes Hyannis and Plymouth locations, Barnstable County Department of Human Services would like to alert the community about an anticipated disruption in local access to medication for opioid use disorder, primarily buprenorphine (suboxone).
Anyone who suspects they may be impacted by the disruption should contact the MA 24-7 Addiction warm line number at 617-414-4175 for assistance with a bridge prescription and linkage to care statewide. For local Narcan access, contact the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Access Hope, Health Imperatives, or your local pharmacy.
