Board of Regional Commissioners Encourage Residents to Attend Cape Cod Bridges Program MassDOT Virtual Public Information Sessions on January 24 and January 26, 2023

January 20, 2023 (Barnstable, MA) – Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners strongly encourages residents to attend one of the two online public information events that are being offered on the MassDOT website on January 24 or January 26, 2023. These meetings will present an overview of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s (MassDOT) proposed Cape Cod Bridges Program.
Two virtual public information meetings will be hosted on Zoom to provide updates on the Cape Cod Bridges Program. MassDOT will present the status of the Program, bridge types, proposed bridge lane configurations, potential bridge locations, and next steps. There will be an opportunity for public comments and questions following the formal presentation. Public input will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

MassDOT’s proposed Cape Cod Bridges Program will include the replacement of the Bourne and Sagamore bridges, provide new connections to the local roadway network and improve multimodal accommodations within the Cape Cod Canal area.
