Master Gardeners Association of Cape Cod Offers Backyard Horticulture Educational Series

Gardeners of all levels can learn how to grow flourishing gardens.

January 9, 2023 (Barnstable, MA) The Cape Cod Cooperative Extension has announced the dates and hours for an all-levels gardening course, Backyard Horticulture, which will be taught in person in Harwich and Barnstable Village during the months of February and March.

The course is taught by knowledgeable Master Gardeners and each session will include multiple presentations and ample time for questions and discussion. The series will cover a broad range of subjects, including gardening in containers, gardening for pollinators, herb gardening, native and invasive species, pruning, seed starting, soil and composting, and vegetable gardening.

Cost: Registration is $80.00 for either location

When: February-March 2023

Where: Harwich or Barnstable (see location details below)

Harwich Backyard Horticulture will be held at the Harwich Community Center on Fridays from 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. beginning February 3 through March 31. Two sessions will be held on Thursdays instead of Fridays, February 16  and March 16.

Barnstable Backyard Horticulture will be held at the Harborview conference room which is located within the Barnstable County Complex on Thursdays from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. beginning February 2 through March 23.
