$4.2 Million American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds are allocated to the FTA remediation program.
Barnstable County identifies need for $20 to $59 million for remediation obligations through the Massachusetts Contingency Plan. Pending on Phase II Site Assessment findings, the financial obligation could increase. The County is exploring all options available to fund the project and awaiting opportunity for additional funding through manufacturer settlement.

MAY 2023 – Barnstable County planning to expand existing Groundwater Treatment System under Interim Response Action (IRA).
Barnstable County appropriates $640,000 for FY 24 Treatment System O&M and Professional Services. The County has incurred this annual expense since 2015 and anticipates similar annual expenses until site closure.
