2024 Lower Cape Children’s Garden Applications Now Open

The Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod operates a seasonal Children’s Garden at the Brewster Community Garden. The Children’s Garden offers children the opportunity to learn about gardening from Master Gardeners, in a hands-on way. This program welcomes children who are 8-12 years old.

The 2024 Children’s Garden program will run weekly from May 7, 2024 through August 22, 2024. Children selected into the program will be split into two groups, one group coming to the garden each week on Tuesdays and the other group on Thursdays. The program runs from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Attendance at each of the planned weekly sessions is expected of all students participating in the Children’s Garden program. 

Applications are due by March 17, 2024, and space is limited. Children will be selected into the program based on the order in which applications are received prior to the deadline. In order to allow this opportunity to all children in our community, applications from children who have previously participated in the program will be placed on a wait list and accepted as space becomes available. Selected applicants will be notified by March 20, 2024 and receive an information packet via email which will include health, liability, and commitment forms which will need to be completed and submitted prior to the start of the program.
