What’s the Story Behind the Green Lights at the Barnstable County’s Superior Courthouse This Week?

Superior Courthouse and cupola aglow in green to honor our veterans across Barnstable County.

This Veterans Day week, we proudly illuminate Barnstable County’s Superior Courthouse in a vibrant shade of green to honor and salute our veterans!

It’s all part of #OperationGreenLight, a nationwide initiative by NACo and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers.

Each green light represents a heartfelt “thank you” to the brave men and women who have served our country. Today we shine a light on their sacrifice and dedication this Veterans Day.

Thank you to Facilities Director Don Reynolds, a Veteran himself, and the crew for their work in making this tribute possible! Our gratitude also goes to Mrs. Joan Ellis for her role in placing the small flags.
