Vision Planning for Orleans Governor Prence Inn Redevelopment

There will be a virtual small group interview next week with Barrett Planning Group, the planning consultants working on the Governor Prence Redevelopment Plan in Orleans. These preliminary outreach interviews are one part of a larger community engagement process to develop a vision plan for this site. In addition to hearing from key parties about potential secondary uses for this site, the consultants are hoping to learn more about housing needs in Orleans given that the site was acquired for “general municipal purposes, including but not limited to affordable housing.”

The interviews will take place on Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday March 9 and will include members of Town bodies, partners from service organizations, business owners, members of the faith community, and other interested parties. You may sign up HERE.

We encourage you to share these meetings and this Governor Prence Redevelopment Plan community survey, available HERE with your clientele, including those with unmet housing needs.  We will have the first of three community meetings relating to this process on March 14 at 5:30pm, held virtually via Zoom. More information on this opportunity will be forthcoming.
