World Food Day
Published on: October 16, 2020
On World Food Day, it is important to recognize the negative impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has on food supplies. Food security is threatened as millions are left hungry.
This year is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). “Grow, nourish, sustain” is the theme that drives their call to action on World Food Day 2020. FAO strives to increase resilience and transition to robust agri-food systems. FAO states global solidarity is essential for our recovery from COVID-19, and for the future.
