BARNSTABLE (MA) March 4, 2018 – Sunday evening, the Barnstable County Regional Emergency Planning Committee (BCREPC) revised its shelter consolidation plan.
The consolidation plan is as follows. The shelter at the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich remains open. Pets will be accommodated.
There will be NO reception center at the American Red Cross Chapter House in Hyannis.
Instead, the County has opened an auxiliary shelter at the Harbor View Conference Room at the Department of Health and Environment at the County Complex in Barnstable Village at 3195 Main Street (Route 6A). Pets will NOT be accommodated at this location.
Individuals who need transportation to a shelter should contact their local police department using the non-emergency phone number.
