My Choice Matters is a Cape-wide media campaign sponsored by the Barnstable County Regional Substance Use Council that seeks to promote healthy behaviors. The campaign highlights ways that communities can provide positive choices. Research shows that misconceptions of the prevalence of risky behaviors can actually increase unhealthy behaviors among teens. Changing this perception and providing alternative activities can reduce unhealthy behaviors. In an effort to increase positive decisions among teens, the My Choice Matters campaign reinforces the positive behaviors of our community members and encourages healthy choices.
