Kim Slade, Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (SAPC) Coordinator, presented information on the upcoming My Choice Matters parent summit “Parenting to Prevent Substance Use” on November 20, 2016 to the Yarmouth Board of Selectmen and Yarmouth Substance Abuse Committee.

Beth Albert, Director, and Vaira Harik, Senior Project Manager, presented on the Regional Substance Abuse Council to the new Town of Mashpee Substance Use Task Force.

Michelle Springer, Program Manager, spoke on behalf of the Barnstable County HOME Consortium to congratulate Community Housing Resource on their latest rental development Stable Path in Provincetown, MA.  Attendees included local State Representatives, Provincetown Town Staff, MassHousing, Department of Housing and Community Development, Citizens Bank, and Stratford Capital.

In preparation for Medicare’s October 15, 2016 Open Enrollment Period, Sheila Curtis, SHINE Regional Program Manager, has presented “Welcome to Medicare” to the following organizations:

September 22, 2016 – Sandwich COA
September 29, 2016 – Falmouth COA


Healthy Connected Cape Cod is the conceptual framework that ties together the work of Barnstable County’s Department of Human Services.  The Department’s goal is to organize regional approaches by engaging residents, health and human service organizations, and coalitions and networks throughout Cape Cod to plan and implement activities that promote health and well-being for County residents.
