Pet Care Group Meets September 18, 2016

The Cape Cod Disaster Animal Response Team (CCDART) will hold its annual meeting Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the Cape Wildlife Center, 4011 Main Street, Barnstable, MA, from 3 – 5 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and everyone over the age of 18 is welcome. Light refreshments will be served

CCDART is an all-volunteer non-profit organization whose mission it is to Educate, Train and Respond.

Services provided by CCDART include:

  • Organization of temporary animal shelters for response and recovery
  • Recruitment and training of volunteers to provide animal care in shelters
  • Triage of emergency animal care
  • Maintenance of animal identification and care records
  • Reunion of animals with their owners

To deliver these services, CCDART is constantly training and working to coordinate resources and to deploy volunteers in times of disaster here on Cape Cod and around the country.
