Eastham Town Meeting Approves $85 Million Water Project

Eastham Town Meeting enthusiastically approved $85 million for the second phase of the once-controversial town water project. Vigorous applause followed the vote.
Eastham Selectmen Chair Linda Burt said will extend services in the town.
“The people that have got the water to begin with for the small system—it was good for them. But we were worried about the people that still weren’t going to get clean water and this is going to do it for them,” she said.
