February nor’easter: no shelter activation
Published on: February 16, 2014
BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable County Regional Emergency Planning Committee (BCREPC) held a conference call at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, to discuss the aftermath of the winter storm.
After receiving a situation report from NSTAR that good progress was being made on power restoration and notifications from local communities that there were no citizen requests for sheltering, the BCREPC determined that the Regional Shelter System would not be activated.
The Barnstable County Multi-Agency Coordination Center (MACC) operated by the Barnstable County Incident Management Team, will stand down from operations at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
This was the final conference call for the February 15-16 winter storm.
