Assembly of Delegates Public Hearings on Proposed Ordinance Nos. 2023-18,19,20 and 21

On September 9, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates will hold a hybrid (in-person and virtual) public hearing on Proposed Ordinance No. 18, Authorizing the Board of Commissioners to approve operating budget transfers for salaries and fringe benefits in accordance with Cape Cod regional government Home Rule Charter, Section 2 – 8, item(d)(iii); Proposed Ordinance No. 19, Transferring funds for the fiscal year 2024, to the General Stabilization Fund as established by Ordinance No. 20-16, by making transfers from the Retained Earnings of the Dredge Enterprise Fund for the fiscal year 2024, in the amount of $108,333; Proposed Ordinance No. 20, Rescinding amounts authorized and unissued in the Fire and Rescue Training Site Capping Fund (8199) as originally appropriated in fiscal year 2021; and Proposed Ordinance No. 21, Adding to the General Fund amounts previously authorized through supplemental budget ordinances which remain unexpended at the close of various projects. The public hearing will be held in the Mary Pat Flynn Conference Center at the Barnstable County Courthouse Complex, 3195 Main Street – Route 6A, in the town of Barnstable, and via Microsoft Teams. The hearing will be open to anyone wishing to testify or make public comment on the proposed ordinance. The full text of the proposed ordinances has been electronically distributed to the Town Clerk of each town in Barnstable County. It is also available on the Cape Cod Regional Government website. Instructions on accessing the public hearing will be detailed on the Assembly of Delegates Business Calendar for September 9, 2023 located at https://www.capecod.gov/county-government/meeting-center/. Written comments can also be emailed to owen.fletcher@capecod.gov before noon on the date of the public hearing. The County will also stream the public hearing and Assembly meeting live streamed on the County YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/BarnstableCountyVideo.
