Proposed Ordinance Nos. 22-31 and 22-32
On January 4, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., the Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates will hold hybrid (in-person and virtual) public hearings on Proposed Ordinance 22-31, Allocating $11,400,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds received by the county for the housing sector; and Proposed Ordinance 22-32, Authorizing the filing of a petition to the General Court for Special Legislation by the Assembly of Delegates with the approval of the Board of Regional Commissioners to amend the Barnstable County Home Rule Charter pursuant to Section 9-1 to include a recall provision for the removal from office of a member of the Board of Regional Commissioners. The public hearings will be held in the Mary Pat Flynn Conference Center at the Barnstable County Courthouse Complex, 3195 Main Street – Route 6A, in the town of Barnstable, and via Microsoft Teams. The hearings will be open to anyone wishing to testify or make public comment on the proposed ordinances. The full text of the proposed ordinances) has been electronically distributed to the Town Clerk of each town in Barnstable County. They are also available on the Cape Cod Regional Government website. Instructions on accessing the public hearing(s) will be detailed on the Assembly of Delegates Business Calendar for January 4, 2023 located at https://www.capecod.gov/county-government/meeting-center/. Written comments can also be emailed to owen.fletcher@capecod.gov before noon on the date of the public hearing. The County will also stream the public hearing and Assembly meeting live streamed on the County YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/BarnstableCountyVideo
