Barnstable County Ranks 5th Nationwide for “Well-Being”

Barnstable County came in 5th place in the Gallup-Healthways State of American Well-Being: 2015 Community Rankings list released on February 23, 2016. The report measures how residents of 190 U.S. cities feel about their physical health, social ties, financial security, community and sense of purpose. The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index uses a holistic definition of well-being and self-reported data from individuals across the globe to create a uniquely comprehensive view of societal progress on the elements that matter most to well-being: purpose, social, financial, community and physical.
