“The Calm Before the Storm” event brings community leaders together to explore preventative practices students can use to make positive choices. The February 16, 2016 event is free, but space is limited. Event Registration. Calmer Choice is a universal prevention program committed to teaching young people how to effectively and safely manage stress and resolve conflict so that they live happy, healthy and successful lives. The organization’s goal is to provide skills that will diminish the risk of violence, substance abuse, and other self-destructive behaviors.
