Barnstable County department of Health & Environment is accepting applications for the position of RME (Responsible Management Entity) Coordinator to provide support and coordination efforts to develop and implement RME program to assist Cape Cod towns address nutrient loading issues by deploying high-performing decentralized Innovative/Alternative (I/A) wastewater treatment technologies at watershed scale. A successful candidate will collaborate with the Department’s wastewater-related programs, including the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Technology Center (MASSTC), I/A Septic System Monitoring and Compliance Program, and the Community Septic Management Loan Program (CSMLP). Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, environmental or public health or a related field; two years experience in wastewater engineering or management, environmental or public health or a related field; supervisory experience necessary; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is a grant funded position, funding secured for 5 years from the date of hire.
