Barnstable County department of Health & Environment is accepting applications for the full-time position of MASSTC (Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center) Operator.

Use your diverse skillset and join a team of dedicated professionals as a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator at the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Technology Center. Located in the heart of Cape Cod, our unique organization is the nation’s premier third-party testing and research facility for cutting-edge innovative/alternative (I/A) onsite septic treatment technologies. You will be called upon to do everything from pump and treatment system operation and maintenance to taking samples daily to grounds maintenance to construction of research projects. Qualified candidates will hold High school diploma with preferred Grade 2 or higher Massachusetts Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license (license must be current) OR three years of wastewater treatment system operation experience. Must obtain minimum grade 4 Massachusetts Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license within six months of hire.
