The Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment is looking to fill a full time Laboratory Assistant position in their Water Quality Laboratory. Primary responsibility is to provide support and assistance at laboratory front desk, greeting customers, samples pick-up and log-in to specific laboratory database, tracking laboratory analysis, making copies, data entry, and mailing and faxing reports to customers. Other responsibilities include coordination with water sample couriers and subcontract laboratories and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. High school diploma or equivalent required, prior administrative office experience is preferable.  Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail required.
