Barnstable County is accepting applications from qualified individuals to provide leadership and technical assistance for the County’s accounting and auditing operations. Oversight and management of the County’s financial reporting system. Coordination of all internal auditing activities. Assistance with the preparation of the departmental budget in conjunction with the Director of the department. This a full-time, benefited position with potential for hybrid work.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; 7 year’s work experience, 5 of which is required to be progressively responsible financial and administrative experience in municipal financial management. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Governmental Accountant required or the ability to obtain one. Certified Public Accountant preferred. Experience with MUNIS financial management systems preferred.
