The Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Commission (BCHRAC) is an advisory body established by Barnstable County Regional Government (by Ordinance 22-01) to promote human rights for all persons of Barnstable County (the fifteen towns on Cape Cod).

You may contact the BCHRAC to report an incident, speak to the Human Rights Coordinator about your situation, and/or receive information and referral.

The BCHRAC will:

  • Make every effort to ensure that your concern is addressed properly.
  • If appropriate, provide you with referral information to an agency that has enforcement powers, such as the Massachusetts Commission on Discrimination.
  • Provide referrals to access mediation, training, or make referrals to other services/agencies that may be able to help.
  • Register your concern for data tracking purposes.

We do not provide legal services.
