Cape Cod Master Gardeners’ Annual Plant Sale Returns May 17th with Native Plants and Garden Favorites

Locally grown vegetables, herbs, pollinator-friendly natives, and expert advice – all under one roof at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds.

May 6, 2025 (Barnstable, MA) – The Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod will host its 26th Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 17, at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds in East Falmouth, inside the Marketplace Barn.

This year’s sale features a wide selection of locally grown plants, with an expanded focus on pollinator-friendly native species and climate-resilient varieties well-suited to Cape Cod’s unique environment. Available plants include native perennials, flowering annuals, herbs, vegetables, and an impressive variety of tomato plants—including heirlooms known for their flavor and diversity.

A dedicated outdoor tent will highlight Cape-friendly shrubs such as hydrangeas, rhododendrons, native azaleas, and kalmias.

Master Gardener volunteers will be available to answer gardening questions and help customers select plants appropriate for their growing conditions. The event features a streamlined layout for efficient checkout, and the shopping experience is designed to be welcoming and informative for both new and experienced gardeners.

Proceeds support the Association’s public education programs and community gardening projects across Cape Cod. The sale will be held rain or shine. Please note: no dogs are permitted on the fairgrounds.
