MASTER GARDENER ANNUAL PLANT SALE

Join us on May 21, 2022

April 21, 2022 (Barnstable, MA) – The Master Gardener’s Plant Sale returns as an in-person event on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Locally grown annuals, perennials, vegetables, and herbs will be sold from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds, Route 151, in Falmouth. The sale is held inside the Marketplace Building, accessible via the West Gate at Currier Road. Proceeds go towards the scholarship fund and public education events.

Master Gardener volunteers have begun growing many of the plants featured at the sale. According to Pamela Hill, Co-Chair of the Plant Sale Committee, the sale will include “unusually cultivated, hardy, and hard-to-find selections, including heirloom and blight-resistant tomato varieties. Hand-dug perennials, repotted in a sterilized potting mix, will also be available.”

This year’s selection includes pollinator-friendly native plants, affordable Hydrangeas and Rhododendrons, and a wide variety of perennials (including succulents and dahlias). Vegetable gardeners will be delighted with the variety of tomatoes, peppers, veggie starts, and over forty varieties of herbs for sale.

Members of the Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod are ready to provide everyone with the plants they need to enjoy the fruits of their labor all season long. Master Gardeners will be available to answer any questions you may have on the day of the sale. This is a rain or shine event so bring your sun hat or umbrella, and plan to get gardening.
