Barnstable County Names Mandi Speakman Deputy Director of Department of Human Services

Position will help advance initiatives in behavioral health, aging, and homelessness 

November 1, 2021 (Barnstable, MA) – The Barnstable County Department of Human Services is pleased to announce the hire of Mandi Speakman as Deputy Director/Senior Project Manager. Ms. Speakman will work to help advance the Department’s County-wide initiatives, focusing particular attention on the areas of behavioral health, healthy aging, and homelessness.

Speakman joins the Department with over 18 years’ experience in the human services sector, the last nine years as the town of Chatham’s Council on Aging Director. She holds a master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

“We’re pleased to welcome Mandi to the Department,” said Director of Human Services Joseph Pacheco. “Mandi comes to us with extensive experience both as a manager and human services professional and will serve as a great resource for the County.”
