The following information was taken from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) Situational Report received at 11:08 AM this morning.
Situation
Recovery activities continue in the areas of the state impacted by the recent Nor’easter, in particular southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape and Islands. Significant progress continues to be made regarding electric power restoration.
Additionally, MEMA Region East staff will be reaching out this morning to check in with communities that still have substantial power outages to discuss any further support or resources needed.
This report will serve as MEMA’s final SAS for this event.
Power Outages
As of 10:47 AM, there are a total of 52,543 customer power outages. The number of outages has decreased by 67,440 since the last SAS was issued at 4PM of Friday

Restoration Headlines:
- Eversource have established Town level ETRs, with a global ETR of 6:00 p.m. on Saturday;
- Eversource Town Level ETRs;
- Eversource power outage map;
- Eversource top 5 towns with customer outages: Plymouth Wareham, Marshfield and Duxbury;
- Two towns, Chilmark and Duxbury, have been the most difficult areas for Eversource crews. Those ETRs have been moved to 6pm tonight (Saturday). Eversource have been in contact with both communities and they understand the issues encountered. Eversource have also provided multiple Community Task Force teams to these areas to address priorities.
- National Grid have established Town level ETRs, with a Global ETR of 11:45 pm on Saturday;
- National Grid Town Level ETRs;
- National Grid power outage map;
- National Grid top 5 towns with customer outages: Pembroke Norwell, Easton, Brockton, and Cohasset.
- Restoration efforts continue to be complex and labor intensive, requiring hundreds of poles to be installed and the removal of limbs and large whole trees; and
- Field crews moving to harder hit areas, as appropriate.
