Barnstable County Collaborates with Local and State Partners to Develop Affordable Housing
On June 22, 2021, Brewster Woods held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction for a new, vital project on Cape Cod.
Brewster Woods is a 30-unit affordable rental housing project being developed by a partnership between Housing Assistance Corporation of Cape Cod (HAC) and Preservation of Affordable Housing, Inc. (POAH). Twenty-Nine units will be restricted affordable to families earning below 30%, 50% and 60% Area Median Income (AMI), with one unit – a manager’s unit – restricted to moderate income of up to 110% AMI. Brewster Woods was awarded $250,000 from the Barnstable County HOME Consortium.
Barnstable County is proud to collaborate with our state and local municipal partners in providing funding to help develop much needed affordable rental housing in our Cape communities.
